Pathfinder 2e Homebrew/Houserules
Below are the Pathfinder 2e changes made to help fit the system in with the Madius Campaign Setting.
Races
Characters no longer receive ancestry feats as they level up, instead, certain ancestry feats are baked into races from level 1, while any other ancestry feats not related to innate power or biology of a race become options for any race in place of skill or general feats. Racial heritages remain as normal.
Humans
Humans gain any 2 ancestry feats of their choice, as long as they are not related to the innate power or biology of another ancestry.
Mixed Ancestry (Human Heritage)
Your parents were of mixed ancestry, granting you some of the gifts of your non-human ancestry. You may pick any 1 ancestry feat that would normally be restricted due to innate power or biology.
Elves
Madian elves gain no ancestry feats, but instead have a +1 boost to all attributes at level 1, instead of just two. Elves begin gaining partial boosts at 5 in an ability score, instead of 4. Additionally, any magic item or effect that would normally set an elf's ability score to 4 instead sets it to 5.
Gnomes
Gnomes gain the First World Magic, Unexpected Shift, and Gnomish Obsession ancestry feats.
Versatile Heritages
Versatile heritages may take up to 2 additional ancestry feats at level 1 to represent an extra innate strength of their heritage, however this comes at the expense of your 2nd level skill feat, and 3rd level general feat respectively.
Mana Points
Games will use a homebrew spell points system that provides a more limited amount of spellcasting resources on a per encounter basis, rather than a daily basis. The rules for this system can be found here.
Houserules
The following are the houserules/optional rules in place.
E6
E6 (or epic 6) is an alternate ruleset that caps character progression at level 6. Therafter, every 500 xp will grant players a feat in place of a level, that can be spent on class feats, skill feats, ancestry feats, or dedication feats as desired
Stamina
The pathfinder 2e stamina rules are used. This allocates half of all base hit points, plus all bonus hit points from constitution to a stamina pool, and a resolve pool equal to your key attribute. Resolve can be spent with a 10 minute action to restore all stamina, among other uses. See the stamina rules for more information.
Proficiency without Level
Due to the implementation of the e6 ruleset for pathfinder, proficiency without level rules allow players to still take on greater threats without being artificially limited by the underlying maths of the system.
See the proficiency without level rules for more information.
In addition to the proficiency without level system, the Flatfinder ruleset further adjusts the DCs required for certain activities to compensate for the adjustment of modifiers.
